Doctor

Salaried/Portfolio GP

We have an opening for 2 - 6 sessions, competitive salary with opportunity for Partnership in the future. Flexible working pattern, with plenty of opportunities to get involved in non clinical work. We are looking for a GP to join our lovely team at our semi-rural training practice, a short drive from Bristol, to replace a retiring GP. Here is what one of our GPs who moved to work in Wales said:

"I would unreservedly recommend working at FVMC. The practice is welcoming and friendly, the pay is good, the workload manageable. They are very flexible and accommodating and ensure that staff are well supported, nurturing a culture of helping one another and having good relationships across the whole breadth of the practice staff, which makes it a lovely place to work”.

We care for around 14,500 patients and our team includes ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Worker, Physiotherapists and a Health and Wellbeing Consultant.

“It’s one of the most organised practises I’ve worked in” (GP who has recently joined the team).

Our practice aims to run as efficiently as possible with excellent admin and IT support (EMIS) with many Docman letters and results dealt with for you. A buddy system is in place for checking results, and mentoring opportunities available to all, allocated admin time and daily coffee and tea breaks scheduled. Clinicians catch up throughout the day at coffee breaks and through Teams. There is a culture of learning through regular clinical meetings, opportunities for developing knowledge in specialist areas and being involved in research projects. We are a Park Run practice, interested in the environment and individual wellbeing and we have a practice garden and an active social team.

Please get in touch with us and come and have a look around. Informal visits are welcomed.
